IMPACTING ONE LIFE AT A TIME
Hey! My name is Donna Delp de Pitman. After visiting Guatemala 10 times in 5 years, I finally made the plunge and moved there. I grew up on a dairy farm, have been a registered nurse since 2009, worked 6 months in a step down from ICU/progressive care floor, and spent 7 years working nightshift in a crazy, busy Emergency Department in Pennsylvania. Being a farmer and nurse may seem like a weird combination, but it works perfectly for the ED, and especially for the one I worked in. In 2011, I took my first trip to Guatemala to visit missionary friends. After that, my trips became more frequent and each time I returned to the States, I left part of my heart in Guatemala with the children. During one of my trips, a friend had called and asked if I wanted to come help at a medical clinic. Ever since volunteering there, I have had one connection after another to help out medically at various clinics and organizations.
Peter and I met while on a medical team, where he was translating. Peter and his mother have been working with the kids and youth from the railroad tracks for many years. Peter also has a degree in photography. We are missionaries through the mission agency called Commission to Every Nation (CTEN), based out of Texas.
What we do: I work with my husband, Peter Pitman, to run our ministry called Impacting One Life at a Time. We run medical clinics in remote villages along a river, who normally don't have access to healthcare, and have kids' club and youth group for the children and youth. Also, we host medical teams throughout the year who come down for about a week or so and work in remote villages. Also, we love to have teams of all kinds come down! There's plenty of areas where people can help and we can find something that each of you would love to do. Together, you can be a part of this and help make a huge difference! So many lives have already been saved from the healthcare provided that normally would not have been there. I’ve had the blessing to be a part of it. It’s a life changing experience. You can help to impact one life at a time.

CARLOS
Hello! My name is Carlos Daniel Oliva Sosa. I met Donna and Peter in April 2021. They stayed at the hotel that I was working at and started coming often with their teams. I got to know them very well and I learned about their ministry and how they were working in the different communities around the area. Long story short, we became very close and I loved the work they were doing, especially because I had fallen in love with the idea of continuing my education in nursing.
Now, I work full time for Impacting One Life at a Time. I’m currently working in pharmacy on clinic days and I also do follow ups with some of the patients, especially if they’re on long term medication. I’m currently studying English and am in nursing school.
I’m amazed to see where some doors were closed, God opened new ones.

DANIEL
My name is Daniel Roldán. Currently, I’m in my last year of College studying Environmental Engineering. I was born in a Christian home and had the opportunity to know God at a young age. Over the years, I have worked in different ministries and organizations. I’ve been able to learn a lot from each one of them. I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store. My wish is to work for His kingdom through this ministry.
My life has been a constant reflection of His love, taking care of me, showing me the correct path, and loving me. I’m here to serve Him.

FLOR
My name is Flor Adriana Cruz. I met Jesus at a very young age. I graduated college in Visual Arts. I've worked in different areas throughout my life, from being an accountant to painting murals. I worked at an editorial for a while, but I felt God telling me to quit that job and to focus on working for His kingdom. I took that step, putting all my faith in Him.
I'm a firm believer that everything that happens in our lives, including the dreams we pray for, the people we meet, that nothing is a coincidence. Everything has a purpose and everything comes at the perfect time, especially when it comes from God and His kingdom. I'm expectant for all of the things God will do through this ministry.

Marta
We met Marta soon after we started holding clinics in Rio Dulce. She is native to the area and is part of the Q'eqchi' community. She has joined our team full time now. She is our translator from Spanish to Q'eqchi' dialect and vice versa. She is also in charge of triage and helps to host our teams in our Rio Dulce base.
She has been a huge blessing to us. Her skills are very valuable to the work we do, especially making sure the natives understand how to take their medications. She keeps things organized when we're not in Rio Dulce and has things ready to go when we go back to work.

Wilmer, Sophie, Andrew and Alexandra
Sophie and I met in 2014. Three years later we had our first child, Andrew and two years later our daughter Alexandra. We met the Pitmans through a soccer tournament, after some time we became good friends and my wife started helping them with medical clinics in the pharmacy area.
It was sad for us when we learned that they were moving away and would continue their ministry in a different part of the country. Two years went by and eventually we were able to reconnect. God’s timing is perfect. We were going through a rough time when they told us they felt God had put in their hearts to ask us to join their team. My wife had already had a dream that we were working with them, and this was now a confirmation.
We are so thankful for this opportunity; it has been a big change for our family, but we are thankful especially for our children. For them to have a better opportunity in life.
